Manufacturing of an amorphous metal watch bracelet

Boucledor, a manufacturer of watch case components that traditionally uses gold, platinum, and steel, is constantly on the lookout for innovative materials. For EPHJ 2026, its goal was to present a watch bracelet made from an innovative material.

The bracelet is an aesthetic component that comes into direct contact with the skin, requiring optimal resistance to daily wear and tear (scratches, impacts) as well as oxidation (sweat).

To offer a higher level of performance than steel, Boucledor naturally chose Vulkalloy® Zr Inox, a unique amorphous metal formulation specifically developed by Vulkam for watch components.
