- The Vulkalloy Zr-Med which allows the miniaturisation of medical devices, thanks to its specific strength (250Kn.m.Kg-1) compared to the 316 L stainles steel (30Kn.m.kg-1), an excellent Young’s modulus (80 Mpa) and its biocompatibility. Its processing by thermomoulding allows an excellent precision and finish meeting very demanding standards. Applications are oriented towards the design and manufacture of surgical and dental instruments, ancillary equipment ..
- The Vulkalloy Nb-Med is adapted to the high mechanical stresses of medical devices combined with possible miniaturisation thanks to its specific strength (318 Kn.m.kg-1) versus thet of TA6V (195 kn.m.kg-1), excellent bending strength (2750 Mpa)(X 3 compared to TA6V), excellent hardness (65HRC) and biocompatible. The applications are oriented towards implantology or highly stressed surgical and dental instrumentation. Its processing by thermo-moulding allows precision and surface conditions to very demanding standards.
